Hattie Bauer Hammock Weed Pulling and Citizen Science Micro-climate Project
Join us for a hands-on environmental restoration and scientific exploration event at Hattie Bauer Hammock! This event combines invasive weed removal with a citizen science micro-climate project, providing a unique opportunity to contribute to local conservation efforts while learning about the micro-climates that shape South Florida’s ecosystems.
Participants will help remove invasive plant species to support native biodiversity and take part in a guided micro-climate study, collecting and analyzing environmental data. This is a great opportunity for volunteers, students, and nature enthusiasts to engage with the natural landscape and contribute to ongoing ecological research.
